Tender for EIF 2024
2024
Design of two design system proposals for EIF 2024, with a focus on motion design and an interactive platform for European reporting.
Context
The project originated from the 2024 tender for EIF – European Investment Fund, aimed at creating a clear and interactive reporting platform. The objective was to develop visual solutions capable of translating complex data into intuitive interfaces, leveraging motion design, visual depth, and interactivity to improve user access to and understanding of information.
Two Visuals
The first proposal features a low-poly European map, with triangular elements emerging as columns of varying heights for each country, accompanied by pop-ups and floating windows to display data. The second proposal adopts a “cloud navigation” system, guiding users from macro to micro areas, enabling a gradual and modular exploration of reports. Both visual concepts combine fresh and futuristic colors, material design, and gradients to add depth and dynamism to the interface elements.
Platform
The platforms were designed to be interactive, clear, and user-friendly, with a focus on data accessibility and intuitive navigation between macro- and micro-level content. The interface integrates animations and pop-ups consistent with the visual language, delivering a dynamic and engaging experience capable of adapting to different report analysis workflows and facilitating data comprehension for institutional users.
My takeaways
Although the proposal was not selected, the project represented an important opportunity to experiment with a new approach to reporting platforms, combining motion design, interactivity, and innovative visual systems. I further developed my experience in managing tender-based projects, presenting complex concepts, and translating quantitative data into intuitive and engaging interfaces.
