Visual design, interactive scalability kit, and motion design for 5G4CAP at MAUTO Turin: a futuristic, tech-driven and sustainable aesthetic.
Context
5G4CAP is an event dedicated to solutions based on 5G, advanced connectivity, and immersive technologies, hosted at the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum in Turin. The project aims to communicate the impact of 5G on mobility, culture, and immersive experiences, connecting technological innovation with sustainability. We contributed by developing the visual direction, interactive scalability kit, and motion design elements to shape and enhance the dynamism of the event’s communication.
Visual
The visual design is highly futuristic and aimed at communicating the 5G4CAP event. The color palette combines blue tones, evoking tech and digital innovation, with green, symbolizing sustainability and positive impact. The visual solutions represent a balance between advanced technology and human experience, with dynamic and coherent graphic elements that reflect the event’s content.
Scalability Kit
The scalability kit includes different application modes for the VR/AR technologies presented at the event, offering users a complete learning journey. It is developed in two versions: a printed one, with a clear and readable layout, and an interactive platform, freely explorable through thematic rooms and subsections. Navigation is guided by an animated virtual bot, implemented with motion design, which assists the user and explains the content of each section, making the experience immersive, intuitive, and engaging.
My takeaways
This project allowed me to engage with a complex ecosystem involving institutions, technology companies, and research organizations. I worked closely with clients and institutional stakeholders, including the City of Turin and the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum, coordinating the visual communication of the project. This experience strengthened my ability to collaborate with companies highly specialized in VR and AR technologies, integrating technical and narrative requirements within a coherent and scalable visual system. Continuous interaction with diverse partners consolidated my skills in project management, creative alignment, and adaptation to advanced technological contexts.
